1. Face masks that people wear in Pune traffic – are these effective?  What sort of pollution is there – particulates, other gases?  Breathing through a face mask helps in what way?  What is a good material for a face mask?
  2. Static electricity builds up when flowing grains rub against each other – for example, when powders are transported.  Does the size of the grains influence the static build up?  How about shape?  How about material type?
  3. Preventing evaporation from a water body.  How long does it take water to evaporate?  What happens when there is a layer of oil.  How does this depend on oil layer thickness?  Does it depend on type of oil?  Could this be useful for small pools?
  4. What determines the efficiency of water cooling in an earthen pot?  Does the amount of water in the pot matter?  Does the thickness of the pot matter?  Is there an optimum amount of water for a given condition (temperature, humidity, air flow rate)?  Can measure decrease in weight of water in pot due to evaporation.
